Pillar at each end of base, one supporting mounted oblong letter plate and beam, other holding beam in place. Beam notched and calibrated in oz. and lbs. (4), with ornate hanging counterpoise. Mordan design. Brass plate on beveled edge of base inscribed, "Asprey. London."
