234. English Pendulum Scale. 9-5/8" high. Rosewood base, 5-3/8" wide x 4-3/8" deep; curved octagon shape, with decorative wood inlay. Brass pillar, plate and arm. Circular brass face inscribed "Rates of Postage" and calibrated in oz. (0-32) and half-pence (1-8). Fabric on underside of base bears worn marking (in part) "8 Regent Street."
